Nice mate, BF3 upgrade FTW hehe
That mobo and RAM will look good together
Just remember what I said about the first RAM slot and the Corsair A70 - you may have to use the "B" channel.
-
Yeah will do, not looked at that yet
-
-
When i get all parts, just waiting for CPU to arrive
-
You all up and running now then?
-
Yes up and running, just getting all software i use installed. Had a couple of teething problems and have been busy so has taken longer than expected. Will post pics etc as soon as i get time. lol
-
Cool mate.
Which soundcard did you go for in the end?
-
No build log, pictures etc tsk tsk.
-
-
Looking good mate
Did you get the sound card working? Or are you going to get a Xonar?
-
Got the Asus sound card (came Tuesday) lol and is working well.
right - i had CPU temp issue when i initially got pc running it was sat at around 44oc could not see why so checked Bios and noticed i did not have the latest one so flashed to new one and cpu temp now sits between 20 and 26oc. Very good motherboard would highly recommend !!
Very good case loads of room and is well designed and well built. Very well ventilated come with 3 fans and room for more, also ready to fit rads etc.
-
Also noticed something else - the Corsair A70 cpu cooler always sits at the same rpm @ around 1550rpm even though the mobo is set to adjust fan speed depending on temps. I ran the fan Fan Xpert utillity wich runs fan from 0% - 100% speed test and it stays the same speed wether at 20% or 100% ????
-
The A70 probably doesn't need to spin up and more as the cpu is within a certain temp range.
As for FanXpert do you have to set "manual control" in the BIOS?
Just a thought ..... I haven't had much time to have a play with my 2600k yet :(

I want it too slow down if temps drop
