I played cod 4 and 5 and it was ok....got error first 5 minutes then installed microsoft fix...even tho it said it wasnt compatible ha ha. im getn my xp x64 back next week so if it freezes again im gonna install that.....when i reinstalled vista i never seen the option to reformat...i just done the custom 1 that says you will lose all data on drive?

when u install vista you get a bit that asks you which drive to install to. there u get advanced options and can format the drive. I normally have a partition for the OS,apps and games to be installed on and the 2nd for DATA, instead of using 'my docs'

yes i think i did on my pc...i partitioned mine.....gonna probs install xp next week as i cant get cod 4 multiplayer to work.

Well after loads of testing etc and everything was ok... ram, hd, psu, os and g-card.... i ended up buying a asus p5k mobo (same as mine) and it works fine now.

P5K or P5Q?
P5K - what chipset is that?
I've been very impressed by P5Q Pro in warlords PC, it has that expressgate thing - linux on a memory stick on the mobo. I haven't tried it - i just turned it off in the BIOS
EDIT: ah i had a P5K3(?) and that was a p35 chipset
