LEC-UK Shop Open

Hi everyone,
as some of you may know we have been planning to open a shop attached to the forum (or vice-versa). After alot of problems with hosts, email, PCI Compliance etc, we will finally be open on the 7th February 2011

I have already added alot of products to the catalogue, I will continue to add products as we go so what you see is not our whole stock list.
I will add a product suggestion section to the forum soon.

When we open some things will have a 1 day lead time while we get stock levels up.

We only have a standard PayPal checkout at the moment but we will be adding PayPal Pro and WorldPay soon, with a view to process payments ourselves in the future.

If what you are looking for is not on show please drop me a PM and I will make it my first priority to get that data uploaded for you.

Cheers. Yeah should be good :) I've tried to add as much info and links for each product as possible. So each product has a direct link to it's product listing on the manufacturer site, and there is a direct link to the manufacturer home page too.

I have added some GTX 570's and Corsair SSds now, each product has to added manually so it takes a bit of time to prepare the info, pictures etc but we're getting there slowly but surely.

Is there no way you can have some sort of import tool?

Yeah there are a couple of import options, SQL import (but I don't have a database) and what they call EPA & EPB (Easy Populate Advanced & Basic respectivly) but only one supplier has a csv file and I don't like the limited info they provide and I don't think it includes pictures so I may just aswell get it exactly how I like it.

We should have WorldPay set up in 10 days (they quoted 10 days), so you will be able to choose between that and PayPal.
We hope to handle everything in house as soon as we can. :up:

Well it's taken a bit longer than 10 days but I finally got my account activated at Worldpay today so I will be testing and implementing it tonight, fingers crossed it will be live at some point in the next couple of days.

Have been implementing a paypal system myself recently and found it a bit of a nightmare.

The system uses modules so it's pretty straight forward, or so I thought! :S I'm currently testing it and I'm getting an error so I'm just waiting for WorldPay to get back to me.

We have stock of the B3 Asus range up to the Asus P8P67 PRO & EVO now, we are still waiting for information about the Maimus IV and the Sabertooth, I will let you know when I know more :up:

We're still having issues with the WorldPay module - it's not sending the information to the WorldPay server so I'm still testing it atm.
I will post back when I have more news.
We do have PayPal Standard and PayPal Express checkouts running though.

Right, I had to have a move around so now the main shop url isn't SSL to help with SEO and mod_rewrite so instead of

Just added the Asus Maximus IV Extreme Revision B3 to the shop.

I will go through our Gigabyte and Intel suppliers later, if there is something you want and it's not in the catalogue yet just give me a shout and I'll make it my first priority to get the data uploaded.

We should have WorldPay running this week - fingers crossed :up:

We have made some progress on the worldpay issues, in that it is working our end but not at the worldpay end.
I have obviously submitted a support ticket but I doubt I will hear anything back till Tuesday at the earliest which is a shame.
I will post back when I have further news.

Nearly there, just a small problem with the callback function - so once you have paid on the worldpay page it doesn't take you back to the cart.
This is a well known problem so it shouldn't take to long - fingers crossed :up:

Still having problems with the "callback", works fine coming back via http, but not https. Bloody thing.
Hopefully have some news on this soon.

And now I know why - WorldPay use a new Verisign root certificate which I don't have installed on our server, well I didn't I have now placed in our root ca repositary but the system still needs it installed/trusted which is what I'm getting advise on now.

BTW PayPal is still working.

Brilliant, call back is now fully working. I have made an Activation Request for our WorldPay account to go live. It doesn't say how long that will take.

EDIT: Now I can start going through the catalogue and refresh our price list to current prices.

Nice work on the store. A company you may wanna look into working with is BitFenix, they do some awesome cases with innovative features that the world is going mad for and their Alchemy range of braided cable extensions, splitters etc is phenomenal.

Will buy what I can from here to help out though sadly stuff like the Maximus 4 extreme is much cheaper via ebuyer due to their massive stock capabilities :( smaller stuff like your RAM and GFX cards seems bang on the money though so nice work :)

Ah yeah I have updated the maximus to our current price :up:
We are currently going through the catalogue getting everything up to date, we had some technical troubles with WorldPay which also prevented us from editing product info or adding new products.
Thankfully we have sorted that now, we still need to go through our water cooling and case modding suppliers so we should have some news about BitFenix amongst others soon.
