says lcd ....led backlight....thought it was one or the other?
No LED (Light Emitting Diode) refers to the backlighting and LCD (Liquid Crystal Dispaly) refers to the actual display technology
I see.....is it any good then? .....What monitor were you using before?
I was using a Samsung 22" LCD (tube backlight) had been on permanently for about 3 or 4 years then one day i turned it off (big mistake) and when I restarted it kinda flickered to life eventually - like a tube light lol
Did well though lol, a Viewsonic I had before lasted 6 months.
The LED means that the power consumption goes down from about 45 watts to 25 watts.
I have a Samsung LED TV in my bedroom and that is awesome.
I'll soon see how good it is when I do side by side comparison to my NECs as the picture on those is stunning (S-IPS).
See if it deserves to be plugged into a new GTX 580 :D
I have been thoroughly impressed with this panel, great colour, loads of options to play with and nice and bright
Text looks great as does bc2 :D
The panel itself looks fantastic, and performs very well, so much so I prefer it to my more expensive S-IPS NEC displays.
Personally I would have gone for the BenQ XL2410T. 120Hz really makes the picture twice as fluid.
Styling wise it doesn't look as good though.
My other Samsung SyncMaster 226BW that I have been using in my bedroom is on the way out so I'm going to order one of these..
Samsung SyncMaster BX2350 23" Widescreen 1920 x 1080
Only slightly smaller than the one I have but alot cheaper :D and will still be a small upgrade over the 22"
I have just ordered a 23" version for my bedroom
I will let you know what it is like :)

Dam - No Stock till the 10th :(
Nothing is in stock :(
Just got an email saying not available till the 12th :(
I should be ok, as long as I don't turn this one off lol
Yay, just got a despatch note for my 23" one :D
Once that gets here tomorrow I'll just be waiting on my Asus GTX 580
It will be nice to see the 24 and 23" ones together as the 24" one is £70 - £80 more expensive than the 23".
I'll add some pics to the "Post Your Workstation" thread when I get it.
Awesome, £180 for 23" version and it looks superb.
I have it running on my EVGA 8800GTS 640MB "Superclocked" colour looks much better on here than the 24" on the ATI HD 4870X2 - I can't wait to get the GTX 580 here and installed :D
I had a quick go on BC2 at 1920x1080 that also looks awesome
Bright, crisp exellent :)
As I suspected the dodgy colours came from ATI's colour profile - Come on ATI calibrate your colour properly :S
The 24" with the GTX 580 looks awesome.
