GMAIL Accounts BANNED

Hi guys,
I'm very sorry but most dodgy spammer users use gmail accounts, so i don't see any reason NOT to ban them?
For instance all the user waiting to be moderated are gmail accounts with really dodgy looking email addy's. I have already banned all the email.com addy's (and loads more)
I want this site to be good for all users, so if you are using a gmail addy and you can't log in (being a current user) to the forum let me know please, and i'll try and sort you out.
I'am so very sorry to have to do this, but i'm getting 50 spammer gmail account registering per day - enough is enough !

Thatl be all the dodgy names i see that dont make sense?

Yep that's them, they just register to try and fill our forum up with porn, viagra etc
Everyone that comes through i ban and ban the ip, along with all dodgy looking email addys.
I'm gonna ask vbulletin if they /anyone have any extra security addons for vbulletin

Yeah it's a nightmare, i'm sure i read about something you can install on ur host to stop most of it, coz there are forums i go to and u get activated instantly and they don't get any dodgy posts. I'm trying to find out atm

If you have already registered with a gmail account it won't affect you, just if you try and register with one :up:

yeah probably, since i banned gmail.com i've had gmail.net and .org email addy's, all dodgy
I think there is still one dodgy member (the latest which i haven't had time to deal with). Once i deal with that we should only get legit members, unless they sign up with yahoo.
I haven't had chance to ask vbulletin about an addon, though i think i heard about something on xtremesystems forum about it

I see theres still knackers joining up unless jckwadku is a genuine person ha ha. can you not do something like the sas clan do and dont authorise them until admin has looked at them first?

Yeah i've been moderating new users since some porn got posted in the 2nd or 3rd week.
I've had about a 90% drop in spammer account since i banned gmail :up:
But there's still the other 10%
