Note the res - 1920x1200 with 8xAA
The compare link is HERE
Why didnt you do 1280x1024?
I have and TBH its negliagble over what a single x2 gets (although im at 3.6 with 2G of RAM at the moment).
The pair really come into their own at 1920x1200 (and higher apparently) - Also adding AA and AF doesnt appear to alter the results at those res either. The Streetfighter 4 demo is a good point (I got over 20% increase at 1920x1200 maxxed out 8xaa and 16xQF) - also Vantage on Extreme im now getting over 17K which was nowhere near that with a single card - So for "low" res benching I dont think youll see much improvement (especially on older stuff like 3DM06) but the newer benches and games at higher res you get the benefit.
:)
Yes i read about 2 4870x2 wasnt as good as you would think in crossfire....something to do with the 2x gpu....x2 4890s are far bettter.....x2 gtx 285s are the kiddys for sli. might just stay with a single card for now as it is more than enough power for any game im playing at the minute.
Well that depend on your expectations - at low res there is little, if any improvement - But for high res and hi res with lashings of AA and QF then they are quite outstanding.
And as I game at 1920x1200 they will really come into their own :D

New rig and fisrt GPU OC :D
Nice clock m8....how you finding the 5870? Any better than your 4870x2?
Much prefer it for the fact it is soooooooooo much cooler (44 idle) and quiter than the 4870x2 - although a decent OC does appear to need a right arse on with the i7 - but TBH im still getting my head round teh i7 malarky :D
Nice TB :up2:
I like the league table, sweet mate :D I'll have to post some of mine later.
