    That looks perfect!
And you have the RAM still at 1800MHZ?

You should run PCMark and see what you get

So that's the "basic" way to overclock it then?

Yes Mate, memory is still the same. Are the timings ok do you think?

Will any version of PCMark work with Windows 8?

Sorry missed that bit, they do seem high to me, what does it say under SPD on CPU-Z?

So I tried prime 95 last night, on 4.2 and it crashed with in 3 minutes every time. The error was CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT which I am led to believe is an error related to the CPU?

I tried it again with a higher voltage and it lasted for 10 minutes so I left it overnight. Woke this am and it had crashed.

When it was on 4.3 with low ram it went through all night without issue. As in out of the box before anything was changed.

So it was stable at 4GHz and the RAM at 1800.
Try 4.2Ghz with the RAM at 1600MHz for the moment. And leave the voltage at 1.200v CPU Core Voltage.

EDIT: I added a screenshot of CPU-Z to My Haswell OC thread

It was stable when it was default settings so that would have been 4.3Ghz with the ram at 1333 Mhz. But the voltage then was 1.368

I've put it back to 1600MHz and the voltage to 1.200v

    I will test it now

    EDIT: Didn't see previous post.

    Ok, try

    CPU Turbo Ratio 40
    DDR 1600
    CPU Voltage on auto

It should easily run those settings.
Once we are stable there we can push on a bit

    Or even try

    CPU Turbo Ratio 40
    DDR 1333
    CPU Voltage on auto

Let me know how you get on.

IT's been going for nearly 1.5 hours on 4.2, 1.20 volts and 1800Mhz

I started it before I posted so will leave it for now and see how it gets on.

I think the reason it was fine last time I used prime 95 was because the voltage was high and the ram was on 1333Mhz

Not sure which programme you use or what the best one is but here is the detail from HWMonitor

Personally, I prefer RealTemp as I can have it start with Windows and have the temp for my CPU and GFX in the TaskTray.
Are those idle temps or is that load? They seem high to me, see mine while just browsing with my OC around 3 to 10% load.
