lol the "old" HDD was a RAM drive, so doesnt count really :P

The new drive is noticably faster - any apps on it load a lot quicker (noticably faster even than my RAID0 Raptors) - allegedy (as when RAID rapters were the dogs) it will also get you in game quicker - bu no games on the PC at the mo whilst i wait for the HDD firware and delivery of my new GFX card

ok this inspired me to do some testing myself.

    Rig: Rampage Extreme Motherboard
    2X Seagate 500Gb 7200 32MB Cache

    Results:
Standard Single Drive: Average: 98.2 MB/Sec
Asus Speeding HDD No driver install: Average: 112.6 MB/Sec
Asus Speeding HDD with Driver Install: Average: 56.1 MB/Sec

    Raid 0 128KB Stripe: Average 158.6 MB/Sec

Conclusion! Asus Speeding HDD is shite lol

    Here's my system drive.

    1 x Intel X-25M 80GB

The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer.
What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways?
I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day. I got in.

Just got my SSD replaced with this - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/225806...edium=products. Anyone had one of these or indeed any Crucial SSD? How would you rate them? Only ever has memory of them previously

Will post benchmark later. It cant be as bad as what I had before which i call the "imitation SSD"!
