Started building it today....first problem was the motherboard wasnt as big as i thought it would be so had to spray the inside of the case again...out came the wifes trusty hairdryer to speed things up.
seating the mobo was a doddle as was the psu...In went the cpu...no probs.

Next was the dreaded cpu cooler which i remember from the last time i fitted one of these akasa 965 coolers. i wished i had girl fingers (theres no room) and the pressure you have to administer to get the pins to click into place is scary...your just waiting to hear the mobo crack under the pressure.
    Anyhoo paranoia over..

Right this is where it gets tricky for me...im a big believer in airflow for bringing temps down (see Bullys thread with the 10c difference he got by adding another 120mm fan at the top of his case). As you can probably see everything is grouped together and even the side window case fan fits right on top of the cooler.
Im presuming the 2x80mm fans suck air into the case rather than suck air out so thats gonna be the first thing to rectify....think i can just switch them around with the blue led rings that seem to disconnect from the fan.
I need these to be exhaust fans only, as the heat generated from the overclocking will be pulled straight out of the back inline with the cpu fan. Just hope the psu gets enough cool air.

That was me done for today lots of cable management to finish and put the side case window back on and .......and.......nooooooooooo.....the window fan hits the cooler......Will have to sort that out tomorrow.

I got mine for my q6600 after reading loads of reviews last year and i was looking at therms and the tuniq 120 and they kept saying that this cooler was on par and in some cases the temps were lower than coolers x3 the price....they werent wrong..they cost around ?12. and theyre better than the freezer pro 7 which is what it resembles.

Spent another couple of hours on it again today got the 2x 80mm fans fitted and the uv lights and fitted the 4x1gb of ram....spent most of the time routing the power cables for these than anything else....One minor niggle is that the motherboard accepts an 8 pin power lead and the psu has only a 4 pin...the mobo manual says its ok to use 4 pin but recommends using 8? Decided too power it up...oops no power cable. used jacks old one for now.

Well pressed the power switch on and.....its alive....and loads of continous beeps and a grating noise from the 140mm front fan....quickly switched it off and located the problem with the front fan (wire touching the blades).
powered up again and still continous beeps for about 10 seconds and then it stopped..Any ideas??? ......uv light is on all fans working but no blue lights on 80mm fans....on closer inspection the window fan was sucking rather than blowing and also the 140mm front fan was sucking air out...i changed the window fan around so thats sorted but cant figure out why the front is wrong way around considering ive never touched it and just plugged the power lead into it?

Also had to change the side window case fan over to the right handside...seems ok......

Any ideas what the beeping was all about? and when im changing the likes of the led front panel wires around on the mobo does it have to be switched off...takes ages switching on and off to get it right?

I'm not sure about the beeps, as for the front panel, i fiddle with it while it's on and never had an issue, I remember one of of my vapochils had an issue so i had to unplug the pwr connector and plug it back in to power it up

Apparently you have to count the beeps to see what the error is....i didnt have the graphics card in so probably that was the error....just wanted to see the fans working first.

Day 3.....fixed the 2x80mm fan leds....when pushing connectors together sometimes the pins dont align up properly and you end up pushing some of the pins out the other side of the connecting block...put graphics card in from old p4 rig in (6200le) just to get it up and running with monitor to install windows....installed vista ultimate ...no probs and also abit mobo drivers. still cant figure out how the front fan is sucking air out of the case... (maybe fitted wrong in the factory) ....im thinking about reversing the polarity of the positive and negative power cables to the fan but dont know if this will change the direction of the fan and also do the fan blades not have to be a certain way round...in which case i will have to take front panel off case and turn it around?
Gonna give that a go now...heres a pic of the rig so far gonna tidy up the cables a bit more when im totally finished.

Spent another 2 hours on it again today....what a nightmare changing the front fan around....front panel wasnt meant to come off.....with a bit of prying and luck i eventually got the panel off and changed the fan around (had to take out the h-drive and dvd drive).....more cable management and some uv paint and were nearly finished.
I dont think the lights i bought are uv lights...just blue will post finishing pics tomorrow.

looking at the way the power cable are lighting up i would say that the lights are uv m8

The power cables are like a fluorescent green in normal light anyway....i just thought it was gonna be more uv than light....sorta black light....will see when i use the uv paint...question do i put the uv paint on a white background (white stickers) or any background such as fan blades etc?
