    Your doing it wrong!
The Grid. A digital frontier. I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer.
What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways?
I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then, one day. I got in.

No Storms. I was on photoshop, the system hung and did not respond so i restarted the system and when doing post boot check it was hanging on the sata drive checks.

It recognised the drive in the bios for a while and then dissapeared for good. & now nothing works on Sata #1

I can not get it recognised in any of my 3 computers.

I dont know how i'm doing it wrong? please advise so i dont blow up the replacment

i already have an RMA for it, just got to post it off. something which is wiered.

If i invert the bios battery and discharge any remaining power then boot it will pick up the drive in the bios but it wont boot and vanashes upon restart again.

no i only sent it of this afternoon so i dont expect the replacment untill Monday or Tuesday now. however i am worried this is going to happen again as it turns out to be quite common. i heard betwen 5 - 10% of the drives could be affected

No! The latest OCZ firmware kills drives and makes them extremely unstable. At least in the Vertex's. Anything past 2.02 is a nightmare

so i have two choices. update the firmware and probably brick/slow the drive or dont update and risk bricking it anyway. choices choices
