    Default Intel E5200/Abit IP43

Hi guys as you probably already know im building a rig for my son and have purchased a E5200 dual core cpu with a Abit ip43 motherboard as recommended by a guy from oc uk (with the help from our very own TB).
I have only done this once before with my q6600 go step and asus P5k Ai-lifestyle vanilla. 400x9 at 1.435 volts at 3.6ghz.

I realise the Abit will have a different bios and would like some advice on the easiest way to clock it ie disabling and enabling certain bios settings.
I want to to start off with a easy clock first to monitor the temps ...say 3.2ghz from 2.5ghz...then if all goes well 3.8ghz or maybe 4.0ghz.

I should have it up and running by the weekend so thanks for any advice in advance 01_smile:

Thanks mate....looks like 3.5ghz on stock cooler is the norm.....so with the 965 can go way beyond that with no probs methinks.

Well i transplanted jacks cpu onto my p5k mobo as i had pencil modded mine ages ago to solve the v-droop problem they suffer from.
And got my galaxy 1000 back and gave him my antec 900 case.
Decided to clock the cpu to 3.6ghz on air with 1.45 volts.....seems ok....temps are fine and prime stable. might go for a lower voltage.

I Downloaded latest bios and i cant get it stable at 12.5 multi or even 12 now...upping the voltage doesnt help....not going above 1.4v. i should have just left old bios on.
