    Default Corsair Force 3 Discussion

    Corsair Force 3 Series SSD's - Corsair

    Corsair Force 3 Series SSD - 120 GB - SATA-600

    Corsair Force 3 Series SSD - 240 GB - SATA-600

I thought I would start a thread for these drives, since we are stocking them.
Mine has been great so far, I had a strange problem with "iastor stopped resonding" but uninstalling Intel Rapid Storage Tech fixed that.

I've been running mine 120GB and 240GB for about 9 months now, they have been flawless!
The upgrade to 1.3.3 firmware has given extra speed at smaller file size which is great.
Something I hadn't noticed is that write caching had been switched back on, I'm not sure when this happened, it may have been after a BIOS update or mre likely after updating the firmware. So make sure you check it is still off after your next BIOS update and/or Firmware update.

Well I don't think it was the Corsair Force 3 Firmware update as the 240GB was still set with write caching off.
    Strange!

I updated the 240GB Corsair Force 3 to v5.02 the other day and noticed that write caching had been turned on again.
Strange that it didn't the last time I flashed it.
Anyway, just double check write caching is off after you flash, and have restarted.
