Default [Build Log] Main PC - 2012

I want to get this PC more in line with my main PC downstairs..

    New Parts

    i7 2600K
    ASUS P8Z68 DELUXE
    16GB Corsair Vengeance LP Blue 1600MHz CL9
    2x Corsair Force 3 120GB SATA3 RAID 0
Coolermaster CM 690 II Advanced USB 3.0
    Corsair A70 CPU Cooler

    with the current parts...

    2x Western Digital 1TB Black RAID0
    Asus Xonar DX
    Corsair HX650

    Current Spec
    Intel Q9400 6MB cache
    Asus P5Q Deluxe
    8GB GEIL DDR2 6400
    EVGA 8800GTS 640MB Superclocked
    2x Western Digital 1TB RAID0
    Asus Xonar DX PCI-Express
    Corsair HX 650 watt PSU
    Zalman CNPS10X Extreme CPU Cooler
Antec P180 Special Edition* "Mirror Finish"

I'm going to put one of these in here in the next couple of weeks...

Asus GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Then I think I'm going to upgrade the case, mobo, CPU and RAM...

Then I will use the Q9400 to replace the QX6700 I have downstairs. The Q9400 has been a fantastic chip for me.

I'll get some pics up when I get the Graphics card installed.

I think I will wait to upgrade the hard drives (with the prices the way they are atm) and do everything else first. Though I may just grab a 128GB SSD for this machine.
First thing on my list is still the Asus GTX 560 Ti, I'll post some pictures soon

I'm going to put one of these in here in the next week or so....

    Corsair Force 3 Series SSD - 120GB

That should be plenty of room to run the OS, Apps and a couple of games.

EDIT: actually it'll be Monday or Tuesday now

Really looking forward to getting the Corsair Force 3 120GB SSD in here tomorrow or Wednesday. Then it's just the CPU and mobo to decide on, but I'll have to see how the new x79 & 2011 parts perform before I make any final decision.
