indeed mate, I don't like the all the usual lighty stuff but I admire your commitment and workmanship, and i do like orange so you get points for that as well.

3x 12" and 2x 4" need another 12"....took out the 2x12" orange cathodes that were for the bottom of the case.....looked more peach than orange.

Haven't clocked it yet m8...its a bit different to a 775 mobo....just reading up on it at the mo...there is a few little changes like BCLK frequency and qpi/Dram.

The palm screen displays a thing called turbo v which allows you to change bclk which i think is fsb frequency...cpu voltage dram voltage etc then there is hardware monitor which displays voltage, temperature and fan speed most things are adjustable from this device...also there is a yahoo widgets app that you can download....like weather watch and 100s of other things to keep you amused.
Will let you know what the results are as soon as i grasp what i'm meant to change in bios.
Im wanting 4.0ghz for a 24/7 clock which is easily reachable with this chip and mobo, and hopefully 4.5ghz for benching. :p

Temps are lower m8 48c load........ i use crysis warhead as my visual benchmark and i have to say i was blown away by the glossy goodness of it all. I had it on enthusiast, and it was like being there. was a bit laggy when the action got going, but was the best ive seen it tbh.
apps load more quickly and likes of ccleaner etc are twice as fast. But apart from that me q6600 rocks....but it is a go step version so that's probs why.
If im gonna be frank here i really dont think the amount of money is justifiable for what you get out of it, but if it future proofs my rig then fair enough.
I was gonna say that buying another graphics card would have been a cheaper and better option....but 2x 4870x2???? probs wouldnt notice a difference tbh.....as the 4870x2 on its own is enough graphics power for the most demanding games.

Im in the same predicament at the mo - almost purchased on a few occasions but then convince myself its not worth the ?5-600 for the increase :|

Again this is an option, especially with some of the prices on offer for the x2s ATM (and I can get a full cover for ?38) - Infact if I can get a second hand one for ~?150 in doing it TBH

47-47-46-40 ...( thats with all 10 fans on low to medium....would be lower if i turn them up full, but thats my 24/7 clock so like it quiet)..............gonna reseat me block to see if i can get it down more..............some of the lads on chilled have reseated theres 4 and 5 times....apparently its common with those chips.

With a bit of trial and error, i sorted my ram timings....now i can start and see what this mobo and chip can really Do....get it ...Do...920 Do.... bah...nevermind.
Some people are using diff multiplyers and bclk settings so im gonna have to find out whats best for this mobo chip combo....there seems to be a few people finding it hard to get over 4.3ghz....and then theres people getn 4.5ghz straight off. I think with the ram ive got it should help me a tad....fingers crossed.

Tbh i still dont think its worth all the money you have to spend....if it was just the case of buying the chip then fair enough, but mobo and ram is crazy money for what you actually get out of it.
The only thing that got me to buy it all was future proofing me rig ...............was the only incentive really.

I dont play 2142...(cod 4 ) and the desktop is a vista ultimate dreamscene that i havent got anymore as w7 doesn't support it. Gutted tbh as i loved my dreamscenes :(
