    Default i7

thinking about going i7 soon....theres so much choice of mobos...thinking maybe a asus p6t deluxe http://www.guru3d.com/article/asus-p...-motherboard/7 or a gigabyte UD5 http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.p..._motherboard/3 with some patriot ram http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews.p..._latency_kit/2
and of course a 920 chip.
Im leaning towards the asus mobo just cos of the colour scheme tbh.
but the ud5 is slightly a better board....your thoughts?

All i do is 400x9 - CPU volts on auto do work - but I set them to 1.44 and I up the RAM to 2.1V (it is rated upto 2.2v)

What can you get out of it ?

Are you adjusting anything else ?

TRY - When you get OC failed - press F1 to enter BIOS then just hit F10 to save and restart - sometimes that is enough :P

Yep, BIOS, looking at the manual its:

Power => Hardware Monitor => CPU Fan Speed - Ignore

I can get stable at 3.8 on auto or 1.45 (but a bit hit and miss) but also have to ramp the CPU to 1.6V to get stable when doing serious benching :P
