I was using a Samsung 22" LCD (tube backlight) had been on permanently for about 3 or 4 years then one day i turned it off (big mistake) and when I restarted it kinda flickered to life eventually - like a tube light lol
Did well though lol, a Viewsonic I had before lasted 6 months.
The LED means that the power consumption goes down from about 45 watts to 25 watts.
I have a Samsung LED TV in my bedroom and that is awesome.
I'll soon see how good it is when I do side by side comparison to my NECs as the picture on those is stunning (S-IPS).
See if it deserves to be plugged into a new GTX 580
